Overall Rating: 4/5
Yeast Coast Bakehouse has made quite a splash with its soft opening, and despite the recent hurricane, it shows tremendous potential to become a local favorite. They are located in Orlando, FL off of Edgewater. Whether you're in the mood for a quick coffee on your way to work or just passing by, this cozy bakery brings a bit of that New York City charm to your day. Here's our detailed review, covering everything from location and ambiance to the quality of the coffee and customer service.

Location: 2.5/5

One of the more challenging aspects of visiting Yeast Coast Bakehouse is the parking situation. The location itself isn’t too difficult to find, but the parking, unfortunately is. There’s a small back lot, but it's tricky to access—requiring a U-turn and a bit of maneuvering. Even then, the parking spaces are quite limited, which may frustrate customers, especially during peak hours. Street parking is available in front of the bakery, but it's not guaranteed, as it's first-come, first-serve. With both parking options being less than ideal, this could deter some people who are hoping for a quick stop.
If you're looking for a place to sit down and relax while sipping your coffee, Yeast Coast Bakehouse might not be your go-to spot—at least for now. There was no seating available during my visit, which could be a drawback for those who want to enjoy their coffee or pastries on-site. However, the atmosphere inside the bakehouse makes up for the lack of seating in some ways. The interior feels welcoming, with thoughtful touches like the playful Ninja Turtle figurines in the window, which give it a bit of personality. They also offer adorable stickers for kids, which is a nice touch that makes it family-friendly.
The branding is well done—the color scheme and design create a polished and modern vibe that feels fresh and inviting. While it's clearly designed for grab-and-go service, the ambiance gives off a relaxed, friendly feel. The place has a cozy, neighborhood bakery vibe, but with a modern, city-inspired edge.
Cleanliness is often a make-or-break factor for a bakery, and Yeast Coast Bakehouse does a solid job in this regard. While nothing stood out as exceptional, everything was clean and tidy. The counters were spotless, the floors were swept, and the display cases were well-organized. They take pride in keeping the place well-maintained, which adds to the overall positive experience. That said, it wasn't immaculate to the point of being noteworthy, but it was definitely more than satisfactory.

Customer Experience: 4.7/5

The customer service at Yeast Coast Bakehouse is where they truly shine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted warmly by the staff, who are both professional and genuinely friendly. The staff was quick, efficient, and seemed eager to help, which really elevated the entire experience. The checkout process was smooth and hassle-free, making it a perfect spot for someone on a tight schedule. They’ve clearly got the rhythm down, ensuring that even during busy hours, you can get in and out with your order swiftly. I also found the staff to be very knowledgeable about the menu. Even though the menu was somewhat limited due to their soft opening, they were happy to answer any questions and offer suggestions. If you're looking for a spot to grab coffee and a quick bite on your way to work, this place fits the bill perfectly.

Coffee: 4.8/5

As a coffee lover, I was excited to try a few of their offerings, and Yeast Coast Bakehouse did not disappoint. I ordered their Sure Shot Latte and a seasonal cold brew, and both were impressive. The espresso was rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. The milk texture was perfect—creamy and well-integrated into the coffee, with just the right temperature. They also offer a variety of milk alternatives, which is a huge plus for anyone with dietary preferences or restrictions. My latte had a beautifully balanced flavor, although the presentation could have been slightly more creative. There wasn’t much in terms of latte art, but that’s a minor critique given the overall quality. The seasonal cold brew was smooth and refreshing, but I found that the flavor didn’t quite live up to the stunning presentation. It looked beautiful, but the taste didn’t pack as much punch as I had hoped. However, it was still a delicious drink, and I’d definitely order it again. For non-coffee options, they had a chai tea latte option and a hot chocolate. We always appreciate when there are options for non-coffee drinkers. However, being that both still contain small amounts of caffeine it would be nice to see an option without caffeine. We did not try these options and therefore cannot share their quality.

Food Choice

Yeast Coast Bake house is seemingly first and foremost a bakery. Since this was soft launch their menu was limited. However, we ordered the cinnamon roll and it was excellent. It was buttery and decadent. The icing nicely oozed of the top. It was soft and the perfect temperature. We would definitely gpo back and try other pastries.

Final Thoughts

Despite a few minor drawbacks—like limited parking and no seating—Yeast Coast Bakehouse is off to a fantastic start. Their soft opening shows that they are well on their way to becoming a beloved local spot, especially for those looking for high-quality coffee and efficient service. The welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service, and delicious coffee all make it worth a visit. While there’s room for improvement in terms of parking and expanding the menu, these seem like issues that will naturally resolve as they settle into their new space. Overall, Yeast Coast Bakehouse is a great addition to the local coffee and bakery scene, and I’m excited to see how it evolves in the future.
